What a hidden gem. Being able to enjoy places like this in NZ
native bush feeels illegal. What an absolutely stunning location that is FAR BETTER THAN THE PHOTOS COULD EVER SHOW. Wonderful host. Beautiful home. Everything has been thought through, even the sheets and pillows are super nice. We will be back. Thank you so much for the privilege of being able to stay here.

We had the most enchanting stay at Birdsong. If you need a peaceful getaway then look no further. The location is magical - surrounded by nature with stunning views that instantly transport you to a world of serenity. The accommodation is a cosy haven, thoughtfully designed to produce maximum comfort. We loved the fireplace, perfect for chilly evenings, and the private patio where we could soak in the beauty of our secluded surroundings. What sets this apart is it's ability to offer complete isolation from the city chaos. It's a true escape - no traffic noise, no city lights, just the soothing sounds of nature. We left feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the opportunity to experience such tranquility. Tanya was a responsive and kind host and very helpful when called upon. Will be back again soon as the only downside was that we had to leave!

A lovely cabin in a tranquil, secluded valley. We enjoyed relaxing amongst the trees and birdsong - particularly the hot tub. Tanya met us on arrival and was incredibly helpful with recommendations for local walks. A great base for Akaroa and switching off amongst nature.

Amazing location... stunning property... great hosts... and wonderful hot tub. Just make sure you stay longer than we did because it was such a wonderful place. We can't wait to come back!
